Songwriting

I am always writing music for myself and others, and love to help others on their songwriting journey. I do not write entire songs for others, but I would love to help shape any musical ideas you have into fully formed songs that live up to your vision. Here's what I can help with:

• Structure: Going from a single musical idea into a fully formed song.
• Lyrics: Guiding you through the process of writing lyrics that fit your song and your vision.
• Arrangement: This is where I really shine, coming up with great parts to record, keeping your music interesting whilst leaving room for your own musical ideas. Check out my arrangements page for examples of my work.
• Production: Helping to move from a simple demo into a fully produced song. Adding instruments, vocals, and other layers to create a cohesive piece of music.

Recording

I am an experienced recording engineer, having recorded for a wide range of genres and styles. I do not have my own studio, but I have a deep understanding of the recording process, knowing how to get the best sound out of your instruments. I can assist during a studio session, providing recording guidance and technical support, plus adding my own unique ideas to the mix. For smaller recordings I may be able to record you myself.

Production

I produce all my music as well as for other artists and bands, and have a deep understanding of the production process. I can help you to produce your song from the ground up, or help you to take your existing demo into a fully produced song. I produce in a wide range of genres and styles, so listen to my music to get an idea of my style.

Mixing

I have years of experience mixing my own music and for other artists and bands, and have a deep understanding of the mixing process. I'm always improving my mixing skills, and I can help you to mix your song to sound great, whether it's a simple demo or a fully produced song. I prioritise preserving the quality of the performance, whilst shaping sounds to make your song stand out.
